A domicile certificate (मूल निवासी प्रमाणपत्र) is the state's official confirmation that you are a Madhya Pradesh resident. It looks like minor paperwork until the moment you need it - and then it blocks everything from a job application to a college admission until it arrives.

For applicants under 18, the parent's Aadhaar, photograph and details are used in place of the applicant's own.

The Samagra ID, briefly
Samagra is Madhya Pradesh's family registry; most residents are already enrolled through school, ration or scheme records. Your Samagra family and member IDs appear on ration cards and school records, and can be looked up on the Samagra portal. Have it ready - domicile applications in MP key on it.
Timeline
Expect five to ten working days for a clean application. The certificate itself is digital. If a deadline is coming - an admission window, a job application - file at least two weeks ahead rather than betting on the fastest case.
